About Us

Our Story

Phawulethu Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in South Africa that delivers grassroots health support and training programs in rural communities in Southern Africa battling the impacts of AIDS, poverty, unemployment and gender-inequity and violence.

Poverty and unemployment in South Africa continue to rise despite the number of charities in operation.  This is compounded by the stories of corruption in South Africa, and charities doing good honest work are suffering as a result due to reduced funding.

Our Objectives

The Phawulethu Foundation is a charity organization based in Kwa Zulu Natal that strives to reach and uplift the poorest of the poor. We aim to assist disadvantaged South Africans in their quest to obtain a better quality of life through a number of sustainable based community initiatives. Our objectives are:

  • Provide Counselling and rehabilitation to the emotionally abused children and youth affected by drug substances
  • To improve and promote public understanding and awareness of child and youth care as a Social Responsibility.
  • Provide Education and Training through skills development programs to communities affected by drug abuse and gender-based violence.
